Initial Consultation
Our doctor will assess your lesion, review your medical history, and examine the area of concern to determine the most suitable treatment options. Proper pre-operative assessment includes health screening and medication management to ensure your safety. This is your opportunity to ask questions and understand what the procedure involves.
The Procedure
Minor surgery is performed under local anaesthesia directly at the site of the lesion in our dedicated treatment room. Before starting, your doctor will explain the procedure in detail, including any potential risks, so you are fully informed and comfortable. Most procedures take between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the size and location of the lesion. You’ll remain comfortable throughout, as minor surgeries in Birmingham are typically performed under local anaesthesia to ensure minimal discomfort and quick recovery times, and our doctors will explain each step as they proceed.
Aftercare and Follow-Up
Before you leave, you’ll receive personalised aftercare instructions covering wound care, activity restrictions, and signs to watch for. We schedule follow-up appointments to check your healing, remove any sutures, and discuss histology results where applicable.
