When the whole cyst including its capsule is completely removed using minimally invasive surgical removal techniques, recurrence rates are extremely low, typically under 10%. Simple drainage without removing the cyst wall leads to much higher recurrence. Our approach prioritises complete removal to minimise the chance of the cyst returning.

Yes, most patients can drive themselves home and return to work immediately after their appointment. The local anaesthetic affects only a small area of skin and does not impair your ability to drive or concentrate. The only exception might be if your cysts are located close to the eyes or eyelids.
Patients taking blood-thinning medications or living with diabetes can usually still have cyst removal, but may need a slightly different approach. If you take warfarin, your doctor may check your INR levels before treatment. Diabetic patients may receive additional aftercare advice to support healing, which can be slightly slower in some cases.
